5 Fashion-Forward Trends Rihanna Started!!

Happy hump day everyone! Today’s post is going to be my favorite five fashion-forward trends Rihanna started! Rihanna: The name calls to mind so much more than one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. She’s broken the Internet on more than one occasion! With her Fenty Beauty line, and her Fenty x Puma collection, Rihanna is one of the biggest fashion inspirations the fashion industry is looking for. From her bold bad girl Riri look, to her girly glamorous look, Rihanna is killing the game right now with her fashion, and it has caught the eye of many fashionistas. Rihanna five fashion-forward trends have even been brought to street fashion! I listed below my favorite five fashion-forward trends Rihanna started!

Rihanna Trend #1 Braless- Rihanna is known for being a fashion gru, and isn’t afraid to try new trends even when it’s braless. From wearing dresses without a bra, wearing a sparkly jumpsuit, wearing a cute girly glam unlined bralette, to edgy bodysuits Rihanna has made this trend become very popular so far this year. Tip: For a “braless look”, wear a dress that has cutouts in the side for that natural braless look! Pair with a cute pair of sandals, wedges, or white sneakers! If you’re feeling a bit to braless, trying wearing a cute bralette with a mini skirt or jeans with heels or booties!

Rihanna Trend #2 Colorful Furs- Rihanna tends to wear a lot of colorful furs with simple black outfits, and some jewelry to complete the look. From a simple casual outfit with a t-shirt and jeans, to a date night look, colorful fur pairs great with any outfit! I love this trend, because faux-fur can be worn with anything and it gives you an elegant glamorous vibe to any outfit! Tip: Wear colorful fur with a simple neutral colors such black, gray, nude, or white. You don’t wan to color clash with your outfit, because the fur adds a pop of color to your OOTD! Wear colorful faux-fur with a jumpsuit, a little black dress, or jeans and a cute sparkly top!

Rihanna Trend #3 Oversize Outwear- Rihanna’s sport Fenty x Puma is the perfect look when you want to go for the oversize outwear look. Rihanna likes to wear this look, with a t-shirt and jeans. The oversized outwear is the statement piece to your outfit, so you want to look simple and not wear baggy clothes with the look. You can also wear this look with a t-shirt dress, and a cute two-piece set to add a girly chic vibe to your OOTD! Rihanna Trend #5 Socks & Heels- I fell in love with this chic look, when I was scrolling through my Instagram and I saw Rihanna posted a picture of her wearing Gucci socks with heels and I thought this looked elegant and girly! Rihanna can pull everything off and this trend is going to come in hot this year! Tip: Wear socks with a pair of fluffy or strappy heels, a dress, or a jumpsuit for glitzy chic look!

Rihanna has become one of my favorite celebrity fashion inspirations since she isn’t afraid to flaunt new trends and slay every look she wears! I love how Rihanna has changed the game in fashion by bringing all of these trends to street style so everyone can slay their own version of the Rihanna trend. My favorite two trends that I mentioned above would have to be colorful faux-fur and slip dresses! Girly glam chic is my style and I love lace, silk, and faux-fur to wear with outfits for a sophisticated look!
