5 Back To School 2022 Fashion Trends!

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all doing well! I am back in school now. I go to California State University Northridge. I changed my major from Journalism to Communication Studies. I am majoring in Communication Studies now! I graduate in Spring 2025. It sounds like a long time, but it will be hear before I know it. It is taking me a bit longer to get through school because of my mental health and being a single mom. I know that all of this hard work will pay off when I get my Bachelor's degree in Spring 2025. I have my AA degree in Communication Studies, and now I am getting a more advanced degree in Comm Studies at CSUN. I am settled in school this semester. I also re joined as a member of the CSUN Fashion club called CSUN Trends! It is CSUN's only Fashion club! I am excited to write about today's article about 5 back to school 2022 fashion trends!

It is back to school time and we all want to know what are the latest fashion trends to wear. When we think of back to school fashion we think of plaid skirts and mini backpacks. This year we are seeing some of the hottest fashion trends for back to school! Summer has flown by so quickly and it's never too late to do some back to school wardrobe shopping! Down below, I listed five of my favorite back to school 2022 fashion trends! I hope you all enjoy!

Trend #1 Barbie Core- Come on Barbie let's go party! The upcoming Barbie movie, hot pink has been having a major fashion moment. The trend “Barbiecore” trend is stylish right now, and all it takes is to dress in bright pink color hues from head to toe. Start off with a hot pink blazer jacket and mini skirt, pair with a pair of chunky heels, and finish off the look with a mini purse! A corset or a crop top underneath the blazer jacket. To accessorize add a pair of sunnies with a scarf tied around your purse! I love Barbie Core aesthetic, because pink is my favorite color and it's giving Elle Woods and Barbie vibes. I also love this trend, because it describes my style and makes me feel pretty in pink! Barbie core is perfect for all Barbie inspired fashionistas and for girls who love to dress chic and stylish like me! Pretty Little Thing or Revolve is the perfect site to get Barbie Core!

Trend #2 Matching Athleisure- Calling all Lululemon lovers this is the perfect trend for you! Lululemon is my favorite store to shop at to get all of my comfy and sporty athleisure wear! You all know how much I love Lulu! If you prefer comfort over style when you are getting ready in the morning then you’ll be happy to know that matching athleisure sets are still extremely trendy this school year. Matching athleisure sets are perfect for a no fuss morning outfit when you don't feel like getting ready. Throw own a pair of black 28 inch Align Lululemon leggings, a Lululemon Align cropped tank, and a Lululemon Scuba hoodie for an effortless sporty and chic look! Accessorize with a Lululemon bel bag and a Lululemon scrunchie or headband! I love this trend, because all of my athletleisure is from Lululemon! I like to dress sporty, comfy, and cute when I have an early morning class!

Trend #3 Belt Bags- I love going for an edgy and sporty look in the mornings when I am on the go for class. I throw my Gucci wallet, a pair of sunnies, and my Fenty Beauty lip gloss into my belt bag. We used to call them "Fanny Packs" as we all know, but now the popular term is "Belt Bag. “These accessible hands-free accessories have recently been giving a fashion rebrand. The belt bag is both practical and trendy, belt bags are having a total moment right now, and are great for everyday use to carry all your essentials—gum, keys a mask for class, hand sanitizer, lip gloss and more. There's a huge variety of belt bags on the fashion scene right now, with all kinds of styles and different shades, silhouettes, and materials for you to choose from! Lululemon has the best belt bag and it is super cute! It comes in red, white, and black! I love the red one, because it reminds me of Lululemon's classic red shopping bag! Pair a belt bag with a matching tracksuit or sweat set! Aviator Nation and Free City makes the cutest and comfiest sweat suits!

Trend #4 Wide Leg Pants- Say goodbye to your classic skinny jean this school season and say hello to wide leg pants! Say goodbye to the days of squeezing into skin-tight denim. This school season, wide-leg pants are becoming a popular casual l look, and they’re much less tight than skinny jeans. Pair a pair of wide leg pants with a crop top, a trendy belt, and a stylish pair of sneakers for a cool and edgy look for school! This laid-back look is perfect to wear for class! Free People makes the best denim and the cutest pants! Free People is my favorite store to shop at for all of my clothes all year long! Also, Paige Jeans make great wide leg pants too!

Trend #5 Oversized Sweaters- This trend is perfect for all of my comfy girls! Size up for a baggier look. Running late to class and don't know what to wear? Throw own an oversized sweater with a pair of leggings for a casual and comfortable look. Finish off the look with a pair of trendy sneakers with your backpack! Oversized sweaters are making a comeback for this school year. Brandy Melville makes the best comfy oversized and not oversized sweaters to wear for class! I love the Brandy Melville Chill Since sweater! I have the Brandy Melville Chill Since Paris sweater! I love to wear it for my morning online class to be comfy in the morning!
