Hey babes,
Welcome back to my second article today! I hope you all enjoyed my first article from today. In today's article, I will be writing a life update. This summer has been a summer of healing and recovery for me. I am really grateful to be in Aspire Counseling Services IOP program in Simi Valley. They are helping me with my anxiety and depression to overcome it and give myself a better life mentally. I wanted to focus on my mental health this summer, to recover from all the pain, sadness, trauma, mental abuse, and emotional abuse that I've been going through for two years now. The storm is finally ending in three weeks and I am really proud of myself for getting mental health help at Aspire and with my individual therapist to come out stronger when the storm is over in three weeks. Going to IOP and individual therapy has been helping me, but I am still working on myself and I have made some progress but not all the way there yet I am still working on it. I've been working really hard on my mental health so I can be the healthiest, strongest, happiest, and best version of myself. I want to embrace self-love. I'm working on improving my self-esteem and self-worth. I want to finally have respect and self-love for myself and have gratitude for the progress I am making on my mental health journey to finally recovering. I'm really proud of myself for a fighter and a warrior through this storm. I'm looking forward to being the best version of myself and being the best mom, I can be to Liam still when I complete my program. I made a huge step and I am proud of myself for wanting to get help and wanting to change my life to living a better no anxiety and no depression happy and healthy mentally and physically life. Recovery here I come!
I just got my second booster shot too! I got Moderna! I have J & J for my first dose and my first booster.
I am looking forward to going back to school at the end of this month. I go to CSUN and I am majoring in Public Relations Journalism. I want to be a fashion journalist (a writer) for Vogue Magazine after college! I decided to drop my minor, because it is too much for me and I wanted to still focus on my major, and still take some Fashion, Dance, and Communication Studies classes for my non-major electives without the minor. I'm looking forward to be taking non-major electives that I enjoy and that I am interested in. I really wanted to do my Apparel Merchandising minor, but taking the Business and Math classes are too much for me and I never liked Math or had an interest in Business. I am more of a creative person than an analytical person. That's why I want to be a writer for Vogue Magazine after college. Having a minor looks pretty on a piece of paper, but it is so tedious to do classes that I am not interested in such as Business, Economics, and Math. I wanted to learn about the business side of the Fashion industry, but like I said it is too much for me and I am more of a creative person and want to stick to focusing on my Public Relations Journalism major in my field of interest for my career after college. I made a smart decision to put less pressure on myself by dropping the minor and focusing on my major. I graduate from CSUN in Spring 2024, and that is my graduation date. I am so looking forward to be done with college and to finally earning my Bachelor's Degree!
This semester, I plan to rejoin the Fashion Club called CSUN Trends and become a member of the club again. I really like the Fashion Club is so much fun and fashion is my passion! I also plan to work with the Sundial CSUN's Magazine to write some articles for the magazine. I also want to use the mental health resources at school this semester when I need them. I want to work out at the SRC gym more doing dance and yoga classes! I've been taking a lot of yoga and meditation classes this semester. Deepa is an amazing yoga instructor! If you go to CSUN too, definitely take Deepa's yoga class and her breath and mediation class it's been helping reduce my anxiety and depression. Deepa's yoga classes are amazing and so good for you mentally not just physically. I also love Eddie's Zumba and Hip-Hop Cardio class, since I love to dance! CSUN is a great school and has so many resources to use as a student to set yourself up for a successful career after college!
Liam will be two on October 12th and he just got his first Covid vaccine. He has his second dose vaccine coming up in a few weeks and his two year old visit soon too! Liam is a very happy, healthy, fun, loving, sweet, kind, caring, and amazing baby! I am so grateful and blessed to have such beautiful baby boy! Liam's love is the best love in the world I can have! Having a son is amazing and I love being a Boy Mom! The Peanut App has helped me meet some more mom friends which is nice! Liam loves going to Zumbini in the park with Mrs. Jan! He loves to exercise and dance! He loves to play with the other toddler's around his age too! Zumbini Time is great for new moms and it is perfect bonding time to have with your baby! I love doing Zumbini with Liam and interacting with the other mom's and kids it's great for my mental health! Follow Liam's Instagram @lifeofliamhudson !
